Title: Sr PL/SQL Developer Position Type: 6 months Contract Locations: Houston, TX - Hybrid Any Visa Additional Details: Data Engineer/PL/SQL Consultant - 12 month duration to begin with. Prior Oil and Gas is a plus. Please note the following preferred skills as they truly need these to get the Manager's attention: Expert in pl/sql development work experience with Oracle 19 Must have working experience with tools like Airflow, Git Must have python coding experience and REST API development experience Plus, would be experience with accounting and financial data code. Interview will be Teams based. They have commented , they dont want to see resumes just with cloud technology experience (like with Azure, AWS, S etc), they are not using those at site. Candidates need to have the drive to learn new technologies, and can pick up new technologies rapidly, able to self-manage a growing list of tasks and priorities. Remote or Hybrid: We prefer someone local to Houston, who is willing to come to the office at least 3 days a week. But remote option is ok, if you are able to find great candidates. Description: Hybrid (Preferred) responsible for designing, implementing and supporting full life-cycle data engineering projects. These projects should include large data ingestion, persistence, transformation, and retrieval. Will develop, maintain, and deploy platform or application code, stored procedures, function, triggers in development, staging and production environments. Perform fine tuning and optimization of SQL and PL/SQL code to improve query response. Debug and support production issues and assist with system integration and testing. Carry out complex DDL, DML and analytical functions to assist developers in application delivery. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other equivalent degree, with 5+ years data engineering experience or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other equivalent degree with 2+ years data engineering preferred. High school diploma or GED is required. Requires 2+ years' experience in the design, implementation and support of full life-cycle data engineering projects. Experience in event driven and cloud based architectures and working knowledge of containerization and streaming technologies. Detailed work experience on Oracle, SingleStore or IBM I DB2 database, SQL & PL/SQL, including ANSI SQL. Experience in database analysis, development and maintenance of business applications specific to oil & gas back-office operations. Expertise in various ETL tools such as SQL*Loader, Equalum, Python scripts. Familiarity with No-SQL databases and pipelines (Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
