| From: Ashish, 3b staffing [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Position: RPG Developer Location: Phoenix AZ (Remote) Duration: Long Term RPG ORACLE SQL PROJECT INFORMATION: Big Oracle conversions project through Oracle -Need high level project-based RPG Devs Need RPG Free EXP need people that can do stored procedure, need people with graphical designs ON PREM (NOT ON CLOUD), need to be very strong Senior Developers with varying project EXP, Uses Tyco or Spring boot, there is API component to connect to different procedures. Role Overview: As an RPG Developer for the Oracle Conversions Project, you'll leverage your expertise in RPG 3, object-oriented programming, and SQL to contribute to the conversion project. This role involves developing stored procedures (dynamic, static, etc.) and graphical designs, while being very proficient in SQL and stored procedure development. Experience with IOE3 formatting and data queues is highly desirable. Responsibilities: Develop RPG Free programs and stored procedures in the Oracle database environment, utilizing RPG 3 and object-oriented programming principles. Design graphical interfaces and green screen applications for efficient data conversion processes. Expertise in SQL development, including dynamic and static stored procedures. Collaborate with teams to understand project requirements and develop solutions. Integrate APIs and leverage data queues for efficient data processing. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers. Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting for high-quality deliverables. Document code, procedures, and project-related information comprehensively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Extensive RPG Free development experience within Oracle databases, emphasizing RPG 3 and object-oriented programming. Proficiency in developing and optimizing SQL, including dynamic and static stored procedures. Strong expertise in designing graphical interfaces and green screen applications. Familiarity with IOE3 formatting and data queues. Prior experience with Tyco or Spring Boot frameworks. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and collaboration abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience in large-scale conversion projects involving Oracle databases. Knowledge of other programming languages or technologies related to RPG development. Certifications related to RPG programming or Oracle databases.
