| Role: Data Analyst with Healthcare (Payer Side) specifically within Billing & Enrollment Location : Remote No H1B/OPT/CPT Required Skills: Requirements Gathering, ETL (Informatica), Healthcare (payer side) experience specifically within Billing & Enrollment, SQL, Snowflake (preferred), data modeling POSITION OVERVIEW The Sr. Data Analyst gathers and documents data requirements from business and project stakeholders, performs data profiling on databases and data files using SQL and data tools, creates current state data flow diagrams and source-to-target data mapping specifications and report or data extract layouts. The Data Analyst performs data modeling, design storage structure, source to target mapping, and analyzes data to identify issues and recommend corrections. They will develop expertise in business processes and data, and works well with IT developers, testers, internal customers, external clients and vendors. The will have the ability to understand data consumption use and patterns. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 7-8 years of experience in software development and database applications with a majority of this experience in data strategy, sourcing, modeling, integration, and architecture Strong knowledge of SQL and query tools, Informatica, and Oracle Experience in Health Care Enrollment and Billing domain Experience in Enterprise Data Management; data analysis, data profiling, data mapping, and data quality Snowflake experience (nice to have) Understanding of logical, physical, dimensional or relational data models; ERwin experience is desired SKILLS REQUIRED: Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills Influencing stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions Familiarity with technology and data management principles. Excellent documentation skills Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations A track record of following through on commitments Planning, organizational, and time management skills KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions using data analysis and data profiling. Gathering critical information from multiple stakeholders to specify and validate business reporting or data extracts using data mapping and data quality techniques. Establishing accurate data definitions and producing audience appropriate data models for the business or project domain. Coordinating and assisting developers and QA analysts to ensure data is accurately recorded and used. Understand requirements and identify non-functional requirements that will impact the data design. Decompose Product Features into User Stories Actively engaged as core member of scrum teams to deliver on data programs\\projects. Work with ETL and QA to ensure all requirements are met by the solution. Work with DBAs to tune performance Create and maintain source to target mapping documents. Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings. Performing requirements analysis. Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts. Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management. Working closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff. Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff. Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements. Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance. Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements. Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
