NO RELOCATION CONSIDERED Need: A senior (10+ years) SQL DBA with RECENT experience working in Banking or Financial services. The client likes candidates with good tenure and long projects in the NY/NJ area. This will move fast. Job Description: In this position, you will be designing, coding, testing and supporting SQL Server enterprise environment. You will be committed to ensuring/applying quality database organizational and security practices. You will be proficient in an assortment of technologies, including; SQL Server management tools, monitoring utilities, Configuration, Deployment, Optimization, Geo-Clustering, Encryption, Backups. Primary responsibilities include: Management of a multi-tiered virtual (VMWare) SQL Server environment including SQL server configuration, SQL installation cloning, managing MSWFC and data encryption at the instance, network and internet levels over multiple local and remote networks Ensuring the security and integrity of all corporate data and relative metadata in accordance with bank polices, while observing CIS benchmark and Microsoft SQL Server practices as well as banking industry standards Implementation, tuning and automation of maintenance and optimization plans across various SQL Server platforms, including the ability to diagnose and optimize performance at the database level, including diagnose and troubleshoot database issues Create TSQL based processing solutions for interdepartmental BI projects and work closely with internal teams to determine specific needs and requirements for database development. Periodically review and refactor code as needed and recommend solutions to enhance performance and maintainability Implement and deploy backup and disaster recovery solutions for a high availability and/or geoclustered environments Create and maintain extensive documentation of: SQL Server environment specification, SQL deployment, SQL Server maintenance plans, optimization plans, security policy and change management Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years experience with MS SQL Server and prior experience as a server database administrator or developer, with experience in a MS windows server environment required High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Strong baseline of Microsoft SQL. Extensive knowledge of developing, deploying an optimal SQL Server environment Efficient with data backup and disaster recovery topology and deployment, MSWF clusters, SQL, security, encryption, auditing, optimization, troubleshooting, version upgrades/controls, installations TSQL, DDL, DML, DMV, Sys Objects, ETLs, Power, including the ability to read and write complex procedures, triggers and functions Excellent Troubleshooting skills, Erwin EStudio, Solar Winds and Tableau Effective knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server applications: SSMS, SSIS (including Catalogs), Visual studios (DTSX, RDLs extensive ETL processes), SSRS, SSAS, DTA, Profiler, Traces, P, R and monitors, Resource governor, Policy management. *** Please make sure that each submittal includes: Drivers license or State ID Link to the candidates LinkedIn account.
