Quartz Core: Quartz is an integrated front-to-back sales/trading system to manage positions, pricing, and risk management for all financial instruments across all GMRT business lines. It is designed to make it easier to access and operate on the many disparate sources of data used in our company.

The original impetus to create the foundational components of Quartz was to address and improve how the bank can effectively manage the hundreds of different types of complicated derivative products, and integrate them into our processes; from quoting, to sales, trading, operations, middle office, risk, and finance.

I am working as Team Lead and full stack developer in the Quartz Core Foundation which is the underlying, business-agnostic platform that provides the software and tools to manipulate objects, store data, run batch jobs, enforce security, provide user interfaces, and enable access to supercomputer resources for distributed computations. I also involved in development of Sandra, which is the object-oriented database used to store the database entities as objects.

Quartz provides you with a modern infrastructure of libraries, tools, utilities, and standards upon which to build, calculate, store, and manage your operations.

The Quartz infrastructure is flexible, extensible and designed to encourage reuse. It is intended to facilitate the creation of a new culture - changing how people collaborate to design, develop and maintain systems. At its heart is our common goal of creating a "true object-oriented architecture" and a shared, open-source and agile mentality.
