In an iterative and agile environment, the QA Analyst will: Perform the mission critical complex Web User Interface software design, development, enhancement, improvement, and maintenance support for AARP.org applications. Ensure the 24 X 7 availability of AARP.Org and all site Channels are 100% available to achieve AARP dashboard goals for Membership Registration, Member Value and enhanced Member Experience. Participate as an active team contributor to provide design, development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Web UI for custom Web Applications and Social Networking software systems and related system interfaces. Ensure that all issues are resolved to meet client expectations. Serve as a part of an Agile CMS development team to provide new services (enhancements, features, etc) for AARP.org. Develop, test, and implement web applications using enterprise approved technologies to ensure high performance and security in production environment. Provide best practice guidance to colleagues and clients during web project discovery and strategy phase to ensure applications developed will be cross-browser compatible, standards-compliant, high-performing, stable, secure, scalable, and maintainable. Demonstrate WORLD CLASS cultural attributes and behaviors in all interactions. Additional Required Skills: Requires ability to work in Agile/SCRUM environment to work hand-in-hand with product managers, designers, and developers to interpret and implement their goals into a functional web experience. Must be able to successfully estimate level of effort and consistently deliver within those estimates. Must have experience integrating UI code into Java Application code and CMS systems. 6+ years of experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience related to the duties of the position. Requires extensive knowledge and experience with Internet applications and protocols. Requires basic understanding of application development techniques/capabilities within Java, JSP, JBoss, Content Management Systems (AEM), Linux OS environment, along with Linux file management and source code management tools such as Subversion (SVN). Highly driven self-starter, motivated with excellent attention to detail, proactivity, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively and successfully in a matrixed organization.
